Black Ice has surpassed all of our expectations in siring stout, moderate, high performance cattle. Currently, numerous sons of Black Ice are making their impact in the Maine-Anjou breed, including: Black Dice, Fear This, Iceberg, Top Cut, as well as numerous others. He was also named the 1999-2000 "Sire of the Year" by the American Maine-Anjou Association.

Black Ice sired females that dominated the show ring and went on to produce winning progeny themselves. As a full brother to Executive, his genetic potential is still being discovered.
